Two Decades in High-Pressure Environments. A Smarter Model for Resilience.

James Duke-Evans has spent over 20 years working in and around some of the most demanding industries in the UK — live music, festivals, touring, high-performance sales, and fast-moving commercial environments. Unlocked Resilience is built on that experience.

Experience built in the real world

Before founding Unlocked Resilience, James spent years working across live events, music, festivals, and high-pressure commercial environments. He has been backstage at major festivals, on tour buses, in production offices, and in boardrooms where the pressure was relentless and the stakes were high.

He has seen first-hand what sustained pressure does to people — the coping patterns that develop, the warning signs that get ignored, the slow erosion of health and judgement that high-performers rarely talk about until it is too late.

That experience is not theoretical. It is lived. And it is what allows him to work with people in these environments without judgement, without naivety, and without the disconnect that often comes when wellbeing professionals try to operate in industries they do not understand.

Evolving the modern high-performance professional

Unlocked Resilience exists because the old model of high performance is broken. The idea that you push until you break, recover in private, and go again is not sustainable — and the evidence is everywhere. Burnout, breakdown, substance misuse, relationship collapse, and chronic health problems are not rare exceptions in high-pressure industries. They are predictable outcomes of a model that treats people as inexhaustible resources.

James built Unlocked Resilience to offer something different: a practical, confidential, and non-judgemental approach to resilience that helps high-performers protect their capacity, make better decisions under pressure, and build sustainable ways of operating — without losing their edge.

This is not about slowing down. It is about operating smarter, recovering better, and recognising the warning signs before they become crises.

“There is no judgement. No moralising. No performative wellness. Just calm, honest, practical support from someone who has been in the room and understands the pressures.”

— James Duke-Evans
